Yes, they just kept on sending the bills, we had contacted them re selling or disposing of this and had no response whatsoever

Unfortunately, my husband became disabled and was unable to fly under orders from his doctor so this was an unnecessary expense

Yes they were always helpful and this released a lot of stress from ourselves

Yes, they told us it couldn't be done by them and we had to keep them and pass them onto family 

4. What were your reasons for wanting to dispose of your membership?

I wanted to dispose of my timeshare due to different reasons, firstly the financial squeeze of £746 a year, since my husband passed away I was not using the timeshare and this meant that the money was wasted, also I did not want to pass this burden onto any one else so knew it had to be dealt with.

Yes, very important for peace of mind, especially when you are dealing with something that means you are financially liable

Good, they have succeeded in releasing me from a timeshare that was costing me £746 per year, and this would only increase

Yes, they were not at all helpful, there is a no surrender policy and we were told they would call on a debt collection agency and/or take us to court as necessary.

The fees were escalating out of control and you were never able to get into the resort you wanted, meaning you were paying a lot to go somewhere that wasn't your first choice.

Yes, and liked the fact that we weren't pressured into agreeing to take up their service but could consider all our options, we were extremely sceptical but Holiday Opportunities did exactly what they said they would do

Very good and on behalf of myself, Paul and our children would like to thank them for all their help in disposing of this timeshare

We didn't make use of the points and unless you booked a minimum of a year in advance you couldn't get into where you wanted to go, and sometimes not even then.  They are definitely not for people who like to book late-breaks or on the spur of the moment, didn't offer a very good flexible choice

Yes, very helpful, they talked us through every stage of the process

Very efficient, very helpful and quite stress-free which considering we thought we would never be able to dispose of our points was absolutely great

Wanted to release ourselves from it prior to retiring as obviously financial situation changes dramatically then, also didn't want to run the risk of the children inheriting it should anything happen to us in the near future. Also the timeshare itself is now too expensive and not such a good deal as it was when we bought it

Yes, this was very important as we admit to being very sceptical about how successful they would be in removing ourselves from our timeshare, also you do hear lots of horror stories. 

6. How would you describe the service provided to you by Holiday Opportunities UK Ltd?

Excellent service and feedback from previous clients, you have to allow for the fact that management companies are not very quick in completing this as they want to drag it out so you are still liable for fees - luckily Holiday Opportunities sort it all out for you, we have even recommended them to friends wh are in a similar position to what we were in.

We were unable to maximise our holiday opportunities using our ownership and the maintenance fees were increasing at, what we decided, were an alarming rate.  Finding a company that could help was something we were very interested in

Yes, very important to be reassured and confident, luckily our best friends, who we holiday with several times a year had already completed the process with Holiday Opportunities so we knew we would be in safe hands.

Yes, in fact was appreciably faster than we expected and even managed to resolve the situation meaning we didnt have to pay next years fees which were due very soon after seeing Holiday Opportunities, they definitely made this process speed along quickly

Escalating fees (I bought this in 1997 and fees were £258.30 and they rose to £465.64 in 2012), also RCI fees had risen more than what I thought would be reasonable increases, after attending the AGM I decided that enough was enough and just wanted out

Yes, this was very important and the fact that I could be put in touch with 2 of your satisfied customers made me feel at ease to progress with this process.

They did not want to know, just wanted the maintenance fees to be paid on time. They put us in touch with firms that might be able to sell it for us, which we did but nothing ever came of it

4. What were your reasons for wanting to dispose of your membership?

We only used it once, and have to be honest we weren't too impressed with the resort that they sent us to. We told them that it was a waste of time.  We even tried to sell it back to them but all they wanted to do was to sell us an upgrade which would a been a waste of even more of our money

Yes, they answered all our queries and concerns, we were very nervous when we started this process but as this progressed we began to feel more at ease as we could tell that the conclusion of this meant we would be free from our timeshare

We would highly recommend this company to anyone else, they have taken a lot of worry away from us, for which we will be grateful forever and we cannot thank them enough

Tina at Holiday Opportunities was very helpful and kept us updated at all times, made us feel very at ease knowing that we could contact Tina very easily.  We unfortunately were pushed into buying this whilst on holiday in America, never used it, and knew that the fees would only increase over the years and that we were stuck with it, that is until we contacted Holiday Opportunities.

We contacted they twice trying to dispose of our ownership, and both times their response was rather vague and not very helpful, it left us with the impression that we would not be able to dispose of the timeshare

4. What were your reasons for wanting to dispose of your membership?

We had changed our holiday preferences and the uncontrolled increases in annual maintenance fees, we had previously used our ownership and enjoyed the holidays we had taken over the years, but as we no longer enjoy self catering and prefer the benefits of cruising this ownership didnt mean our requirements. The increase in maintenance fees meant that instead of saving you money against a weeks holiday from another source is costing more.

Yes, they were very honest and upfront with regards to how this process would work. After coming across a lot of companies in the business of taking your timeshare off you, but only if you exchange it for something else, for a fee of course, this was a very refreshing change.
